This 2009 NapaValley Chardonnay is my first release of Chardonnay from the P & J Vineyard on Zinfandel Lane in St. Helena. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented sur lies in 35% new Leroi French oak. It was stirred every seven days for 16 consecutive weeks in a malolactic winemaking style that combines vanilla oak with mouthfilling body and flavor, richness and substance.


Pear, melon, honeysuckle, vanilla and nutmeg spice flavors all meld together in an great expression of Chardonnay.
